Head of the Ukrainian People’s Party
 Yuriy KOSTENKO (Born 1951). One of the most experienced Ukrainian politicians of the post-Soviet period, he was elected to the Rada in 1990, 1994, 1998, and 2002. Served as Minister of the Environment and Nuclear Safety between 1992-98. First Deputy Head of the “Our Ukraine” parliamentary faction. Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. A Doctor of Technical Sciences and distinguished alpinist. A member of the permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), he is also a member of the European People’s Party group in PACE. Married, with a son.
